Activity List

The following is a list of activities designed to provide you with a comprehensive, Standards-Aligned, Literacy & Technology-driven curriculum for creating your own in-house new broadcast. Feel free to add your own elements, delete activities, or modify the unit to work best for you and your students. The only requirement is to have fun!

Intended Learning

Students will create a periodic school news cast, comprised of a variety of segments based on the curriculum of the classroom teachers and the specifics events of the school.  Students can be responsible for the any and all components of the broadcast, including composing scripts, video taping news segments, reporting from remote locations, conducting interviews, and editing broadcasts.
